With the towns of Whitefish and Kalispell, Big Mountain Ski Resort, Whitefish and Flathead Lakes and Glacier National Park all within very close proximity to Fire Sky Lodge there is no shortage of activities, outdoor adventures and fine dining places to be found. Summer Activities

Golf
With Fire Sky Lodge located on the Meadow Lake Golf Course world-class golf is right outside the door. Additionally, there are a number of courses within the Flathead Valley. Learn more about them below and make your tee times ahead of time:

Fishing
This is Montana fly fishing at its finest with Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshall Wilderness and National Forests as breathtaking backdrops, the Flathead River system of northwestern Montana offers memorable fishing opportunities.  From sites of easy access to those of remote wilderness, the Flathead waters can provide a diverse fishing experience. Hiking
The best way to explore the natural splendor and spectacular beauty of the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park is on foot.  Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun Road offers a 52-mile string of trailheads to more than 700 miles of hiking trails into pristine backcountry. Mountain and Road Biking
The Flathead Valley offers terrain for the most avid mountain biker, or ample rolling trails and roadside riding for families looking for two-wheeled outdoor exercise. For more information visit the Flathead Valley Convention & Visitor Bureau.

River Rafting
Whitewater rafting adventures vary from a half-day to several day overnight adventures. Experienced and novice rafters can find the rafting experience they are looking for on the beautiful and scenic rivers of the Flathead Valley. Some rafting companies also provide guided fly-fishing trips with the most experienced guides in the area. The rafting guides and fishing guides delight in sharing their knowledge and love of this beautiful area, and do so with a large dose of good old fashioned Montana hospitality. Learn more

Winter

Skiing and Snowboarding
Speed down deep-powder slopes or glide along miles of groomed trails at the Whitefish Mountain Resort and Blacktail Mountain Ski Area.  Fantastic views, reasonable rates, and no waits!

Dining
Whitefish and Columbia Falls both feature restaurants for every taste and appetite, from BBQ and steak restaurants that reflect the wild west history of the area, to sushi, mexican and italian eateries. As an added bonus, many restaurants feature locally grown fruits, vegetables, meats, grains and organic greens on their menus. For a list of local restaurants follow the links provided below:

Both locales feature a lively downtown scene with western bars and an eclectic mix of music and entertainment year-round as well as daytime antique and art shopping.
